If you’re like me you’re probably using WHM and cPanel as the control panel for your web server. It’s one of the most popular choices in web hosting. Did you know that there’s a free cPanel university that will teach you all about the control panel? I didn’t until I started my new job at a web hosting company. After taking service courses and completing some of the certifications past here’s my review of cPanel University.
My Review Of cPanel University: It’s Free
My review of cPanel University regarding their price is this: Yep, it’s free to sign up and use. There are no tricks or any up-selling later on in the course. Everything is free. Go check it out yourself here.
So why is it free? As my trainer at work said, and I’m paraphrasing here, WHM and cPanel are one of the top control panels in Web Hosting. If the company offers free education about their product that may convince users of other control panel software to switch. And it will keep those already using the software in their ecosystem.
Finally, even though the courses are free the information in the program is top-notch. Let me discuss that further in the next section.
My Review Of cPanel University: The Courses Are Informative & Extensive
My review of cPanel University regarding their courses is this: They are informative and extensive, especially if you choose the Technical path. (There is a Sales path that only has one course which I didn’t take so I can’t speak about it.)
When many people think about free courses they think the information provided will be short and not good. Unfortunately, that happens but not with cPanel University. The staff developing the courses not only explain the basics of the control panel, which many already know, but go deeper into how to use and configure WHM and cPanel. I’ve used the software for a few years and I learned a bunch about the control panel.
Finally, if you want to learn more about a particular topic in the course you are given the chance to read more via the extensive documentation available on the site. You can even ask the training staff to develop additional courses about a particular topic.
