I didn’t post anything new last Friday. That’s because I didn’t have anything new to talk about. That got me thinking: Can I keep my schedule of posting new content twice a week with everything else going? The answer is no. This post explains why I’m changing my post schedule.
I’m Changing My Post Schedule To Once A Week
I’m changing my post schedule to once a week as of today (the day of this post). Every Friday is the day I will upload new content. It will still be one post and the topic is going to range from WordPress topics to my programming/coding journey. I’ll also continue to write about building your brand and various types of website services.
Why I’m Changing My Post Schedule
The reasons why I’m changing my post schedule is 1) I’m currently busy with some other tasks and 2) I want to create quality content for my blog.
I’ve discussed on my blog before that I’m currently refreshing my programming/coding skills so I can get a programming job. This takes up a considerable amount of my day as I watch tutorial videos, do the challenges the instructor provides, and create my own programs to build my portfolio. Sometimes I find myself writing code for hours for days on end and forget to develop an idea for a new blog post. That’s what happens when I get really dedicated to a task.
Because my attention is elsewhere, I rush to develop an idea for a blog post just so I can meet my schedule. And this can lead to filler content. That happens to everyone no matter their field but it’s not something I want to get into the habit of doing. I rather provide good, quality content all the time. And posting just once a week will help me.
