You, reader, are thinking about building a website. After much research to you settle on using WordPress. Yet, you are kinda nervous about the task before you. You haven’t built a website before so you think this is a job for a professional. However, experienced WordPress developers are expensive. And some of the freelancers you find online have inexpensive prices but you’re unsure if they can deliver. Plus, you want a good-looking and functioning website and as the saying goes “you get what you pay for.” So what can you do? My new guide about building a WordPress website will provide the knowledge you need in ebook format.
Building A WordPress Website: Why Did I Write This?
I’ve been an avid WordPress user for over a decade now. I started using the software in 2007. Now, all of my websites, including the one your reading right now, uses WordPress (specifically self-hosted WordPress).
I wrote this guide because building a WordPress website can be daunting. And there are plenty of how-to articles online but some aren’t updated, while others can be incomplete about certain specifics of building a website.
Now you can get help from the official WordPress website but their articles can be a little too technical for a beginner and my guide will explain topics in laymen terms.
Finally, my guide will give individuals the knowledge to take their skill and make money from it. Yes, the reader could start their own business where they create/build WordPress websites for others.
Building A WordPress Website: Why Should People Choose This Software?
You’re probably wondering why I choose WordPress to build my websites. And why I recommend it to everyone who ask me what software or framework to use to create a website. Especially when there are are cloud-based services like Wix and Squarespace. Well, it’s because I love WordPress and open source software. And “WordPress is open source software you can use to create a beautiful website, blog, or app.”
Also, its mission is simple: “WordPress is software designed for everyone, emphasizing accessibility, performance, security, and ease of use. We believe great software should work with minimum set up, so you can focus on sharing your story, product, or services freely.” Thus, anyone can share their thoughts, feelings, or create a business with WordPress.
WordPress was created in 2003 by Mike Little and Matt Mullenweg and is operated by Automattic. While WordPress was originally created for blogging you can use it now to create various types of websites. And this versatility makes it a great choice for businesses.
When Will The Guide Be Available?
I’m doing the final edits currently and I’m hoping the ebook will be available either early next week. It all depends on how fast the ebook distributor can put the book on their site. And the book will be available on Amazon and Gumroad.
